Much excitement!
Today the news helicopter landed on the school oval! Well... it wasn't exactly the news helicopter, because that was in for a service. So they brought the spare chopper, but that goes faster anyway so it was ok.
EJ was one of the students (one from each class) who got to ask the journalist a question. Here he is with his shirt untucked and a big tv camera in his face. However, they only used about three seconds of their footage on the news so I'm glad I got all the photos and video I did and gave it to the school on CD.
Prior to the chopper landing, EJ also spoke in front of the school as his class hosted the weekly assembly, so he's quite famous today.
After the question time, the journalist toured the school looking at fitness activities. Liam was running a relay and had to run two consecutive sections, as one team was a member short. So he flew through the baton-passing bit and onto his next section, flew up to the end and came first! Here he is flying:
See, I told you he was flying!
Speaking of flying, here are the kids cheering as the helicopter takes off:
And that Aussie doll has been behaving well today. Here she is with her original Aussie outfit and Australian flag clips in her hair....
... and her name bracelet: Joy!
